Writing III is continuation of writing I and writing II. Writing III trains student to be able to make a good composition in writing. The study process of the writing III class is also very interesting because it is using internet to post the tasks. Every class has already had their own blogs. In this blog we can shows our writing or give comments of our friends writing. The teacher, Mr. Ari teach with very passion and fun. He will not continue the material he gave, if the result of each task he gave found a lot of mistakes. He also always discusses that mistakes together in the class so everyone know their own mistakes and fixed it.
Writing III class is very useful for us because it force us to keep practicing our writing skill until the students able to make a good composition. It will be very useful to us if we make our thesis later. The using of right of structural words or sentences is very stressed in this class so the student later on will be commonly used it every time. In this class I also get a lot of knowledge and a lot of new vocabulary.
The problem that I faced in this class is the feeling of lazy for going to the ‘warnet’ to post the task and I also have problem with how to pour my ideas in the writing form especially in English, because of that I usually write in Indonesian firstly before I translated into English. That’s why maybe my writing is too short.
This class is very meaningful and useful for me. This class is like a practice of how to write a thesis. I also learn much new vocabularies in this class. Thank you Mr. Ari, thank you writing III

How to Study Well

I am sure that all of us as a student want to have good ways in the study. In order to reach the effective study we should have good ways to study well. There some ways to study well. They are: understanding the material, reading a lot, summarizing the material, choosing the best time to study, and making study group.
The first way is being understand the material. The main function of study is attempting to understand the material or new knowledge. The material that is memorized will be lost easy. It is different when we understand it; the material will be kept in our mind for a long time. We may memorize all the material in detail, but the important thing is whether we understand it or not. So before memorizing, it is better to understand it before.
The second is reading to much. Reading is the study key. If we want to understand the material, we should read it at least twice ad day; before and after our lecture explain it. Because our mind has process the material in three times, I am sure that we will easy to understand and the material will be kept in our mind for a long time.
The third is summarizing the material. Sometimes we have so many materials that should be learned. It makes us difficult to understand it. But, it can be solved by summarizing the material which cover the main point of the material. The short material which only contains the main point will make us understand it easier.
The fourth is choosing the best time to study. The best time to study is when our mind is fresh. We know that each people has the best time to study which is not same one to the other. But, generally in the morning is the best time to concentrate fully in the study because our mind is still fresh. Use this time to process the new material. The less of our energy can be use to repeat or evaluate our study and do the assignment.
The last is making a study group. If we are bored to study lonely, we can study together with our friends. But, we do not need lot friends because it will not be effective. Five people are maximal number in the study group. Make a distribution of the material parts to each person. Then, in turn each person must explain to the other. I am sure it will not be a boring study.
Those are all my ways to study well. I know that each person has his own ways to study because there are different characters of study in different people. But, some people have same character in the study. Maybe some of my ways are also good for you and you can try it to be applied into your study. Actually, there are still many other. But, here I only can present them. I hope you get successful in your study.

A reflection on Mr. Ari Purnawan’s writing 3 class

In writing 3 classes lectured by Mr. Ari Purnawan, I got new and clearer knowledge about writing. Although I already got this lesson last year, Mr. Ari were always gives us easy task but very useful . Mr. Ari asked the students to write some topics such as a descriptive text and an explanation text. In this class, we use  on of the internet facilities  named blog in order to submit all the assignment. This  is one of the advantages I got in this class, because during the lessons I also learn about how to blog. Besides this advantage, there were also some disadvantages of this lesson. Errors sometimes happened on submitting the assignment.

The weakness of writing 3 is the student has more chance doing plagiarism, and this weakness also makes the student lazier. I hope in the future, the weakness and the problem can be solved, and I hope in another Mr. Ari classes there will be no such weakness. After all, this lesson was interesting. I hope that all the members of this class will get a good mark.

My Writing III Class

I think Writing III class is a noisy class, because there are about 30 students, and there are much of sounds, especially if the lecture comes late. The real students actually are class G, but in this class there are additional member, they are repeaters. Mr. Ari is the lecture in this class, he is funny lecture I think, because sometime he is making us laughing. He is always giving the assignments which have to submit in our blog. In our blog I can give any comment for the other student’s assignment. It means that I have to spend more money and time to access the Internet because the assignment that should be collected by posting to the blog. Although from faculty I get some money to access internet, but that not enough. But I get advantages in this method, because I can learn more about how to use many facilities in internet.

REFLECTION OF MY WRITING 3 CLASS

This is Writing 3 class. Mr. Ari was the lecturer in this Writing class. The members of this class are about 30 students. In fact, this was Writing 3 of G class, but there were some repeaters who joined this class and I was one of the repeaters. It’s great for me to be one of the members of this class. The students of this class were friendly. Although I was a repeater, they never kept me apart. Therefore, it made me comfort to be a member of this class.

I got some advantages when I joined this class. Although I have this lesson last year, I got new and clearer knowledge about writing. The explanations and given by Mr. Ari were easy to be understood. Mr. Ari asked the students to write and write. He gave us many assignments, such as a descriptive text and an explanation text. The assignments did not finish in submitting the tasks. We should give comments other students’ writing. This activity made me and other students where we made mistakes in our writing so we could correct it. The method that was used in this class was different as usual class. This lesson used one of the internet facilities to submit the assignments. The students should submit the assignments, comments, and responses of the comments in a word press blog. In this Writing class, I also learned how to use a blog as well I got knowledge and improved my writing skill.

Besides those advantages, there were also some disadvantages of this lesson. Because I should submit the assignments by the use of internet, sometimes I faced a problem on submitting the assignment if the connection of the internet was in trouble or in error connection. Besides that, using high technology, especially internet, made the students easy doing plagiarism. They would copy and paste some article from the internet easily. They did not paraphrase the article. They just changed the writer name and then submit it as their assignment. It would make students lazy and cut down the students’ creativity on expressing their own ideas.

In my opinion, this lesson was quite interesting and understandable. I hope that all the members of this class will get a good mark.

My Learning Difficulties

Learning is the activities that should be done by all people especially as a student. It is the ways to add more knowledge and get understanding about something. Therefore learning is an important thing that must students do. But, not all the students can learn well. Some of them have difficulties in the learning that make learning become a boring activity. It also happens to me, I have some difficulties in learning like them. There are some factors that make my learning face some difficulties. They are the concentration difficulty, unwillingness in reading, and the lack of motivation
The first factor is the concentration difficulty. I have difficulty to build my concentration especially when reading the material and when hearing the explanation from the lecture in the class. I often difficult to focus on what I am doing, even more when I am sleepy and the environment is not comfort to study.. When I get my concentration, it is easy to be lost because of a little matter such as the surprised sound and noisy. And it is difficult for me to build the concentration again. My difficulty in concentration makes me difficult to understand the material that I read and the lecture explain.
The second factor is unwillingness in reading. This factor is the impact of the factor before. Because I difficult to concentrate (that makes me difficult to understand the material I read) I have unwillingness in reading. While, reading in the learning process is important thing. How come we can understand something without reading? The difficulty in understanding the reading material that caused by the concentration difficulty, makes reading as the boring activity for me. Because of that I have unwillingness in reading that impact my learning difficulty.
The last factor is the lack of motivation. The situation that does not support me like the difficulty in concentration and unwillingness reading which is mentioned before, reduce my motivation. And this is influence my learning. How I learn well if there is no motivation. I know this all factors are disadvantage in my learning. I am still finding the solution to solve my learning difficulties. I hope I can do that.
